BCSD Rank Structure
The rank structure to the Blaine County Sheriff's Department
SHERIFF
This is the Sheriff's rank insignia, The Sheriff is the highest rank in the Blaine County Sheriff’s Department Roleplay Clan, the sheriff is the clan leader and is primarily in charge of everything assisted by the other senior officers he has promoted. The Sheriff is MajoR Pa1N95.
UNDERSHERIFF
This is the Undersheriff's rank insignia, The Undersheriff is the second highest rank in the BCSD RPC and this is the most senior rank other than the sheriff, the Undersheriff takes over when the sheriff is unavailable and assists in any decision making.
ASSISTANT SHERIFF
This is a Assistant Sheriff's Rank Insignia. There can only be up to three Assistant Sheriffs at one time and because of this, this rank is very important. If the Sheriff or Undersheriff are unreachable then the Assistant Sheriff(s) are in charge. They also assist the Sheriff & Undersheriff in their duties. These officers are chosen by the Sheriff.
DIVISION CHIEF
This is a Division Chief's rank insignia, there is one Division Chief to each division and is the officer that is in charge of that division following orders from senior officers. The division chief makes all decisions regarding the division they are in charge of assisted by their captain. These decisions may be anything from who is in the division, training, performance all the way to moral or promotions. However the entire operation is over seen by the senior officers & sheriff. The Division chief is chosen by the Sheriff.
CAPTAIN
This is a Captain's rank insignia, There is one captain to an entire division, captains are in charge of all officers in their division under them and maintain good morale and also handle any major problems within that division. Lieutenants assist the captain in their duties and the Captain assists the Division chief.
LIEUTENANT
This is a Lieutenant's rank insignia, there can be up to three lieutenants per division. Lieutenant is the first senior officer promotion that comes with increased responsibility however they still act as a supervisor to all ranks below. Lieutenants are in charge of groups of deputies and perform inspection over them, they also answer to the Captain of that division and will attend meetings to discuss performance of officers, what required, any problems, etc. The minimum required experience to make lieutenant is 14 Days on top of the Sergeant promotion.
SERGEANT
This is a Sergeant's rank insignia and Sergeant is the first major promotion and supervise officers below. Sergeant is the second promotion and this enables the officer to become a supervisor. This means that sergeants can over watch officers and also assist any officer that requires help. Sergeants show good leadership and communications skills. To be promoted to this rank you must have already been promoted to Corporal and had 14 days experience on top of that.
CORPORAL
This is a Corporal's rank insignia, Corporal is the first promotion an officer in the BCSD can make, it shows that the officer is experienced and gains authority over standard deputies. The rank of corporal is an achievement among officers showing the dedication the officer has put into the BCSD and corporals gain seniority over standard officers. To be promoted to this rank you must have been in the BCSD RC for at least 13 days.
DEPUTY / OFFICER
A Deputy is the first rank in the BCSD that all members who apply to join become after initial training. Deputies are the heart to the BCSD and don’t have a rank insignia however they do have a blank epaulette. At this rank you are able to apply for any division after training but will first be put into General Duty.
The Blaine County Sheriff's Department Roleplay Clan has a strict policy on promotions, before any officer is promoted for any reason they must have sent in an application to the BCSD and have it successfully passed. The officer must then have been on good-outstanding performance for the required amount of time to be promoted. All current promotions must be agreed on by the Division Chief & Senior officers (i.e. Sheriff & Undersheriff).
